This past Tuesday, the girls volleyball team achieved victory with a win against Tartan. This is their sixteenth game won; they’ve only lost two games this season! Sophomore Lauren Stenman, one of the players on our amazing volleyball team, said of the game, “It felt amazing to beat our number one rival and I was super pumped to have fought so well with my team.” Every game is stressful as we hope for a win, especially for the players! “I was feeling a lot of pressure, obviously because it was the game against Tartan so it was a big deal.” When asked about a favorite moment from the game, she happily replied, “The whole game was just kind of a thrill and I had adrenaline going through me so it was all really fun and exciting!” But the season isn’t over! Their next game is tonight, October 5th, in the North gym against Wayzata, “I’m looking forward to the tough competition with Wayzata and putting up another fight to win.” Stenman devotes tons of her time and dedication to the team and absolutely loves it! “It’s great to be on a team with such fierce girls who really want to win every game. We push really hard in practice and in games, so it’s awesome to be a part of it.”
