Tia Dugas’ love of dance began when she was only a little girl. She reveals, “I just always loved to move around as a child and make up my own choreography.” Tia’s performance varies from song to song, activity to activity. “I look either graceful or tend to have a really serious face depending on the song.”

Likewise, Tia is part of gymnastics! She joined North High’s team because “our school’s dance team was cut and (she) wanted to improve (her) tumbling skills.” Tia continues to radiate confidence during her gymnastic routines, along with her choreography.

In a similar fashion, cheerleading has had a huge impact on Tia’s life. “It’s a fun thing to do and a way for me to get pushed mentally. I also really enjoy traveling with my team and competing,” beams Tia. “I look very happy with crazy, over-exaggerated facials in cheerleading.”

Tia is part of an All-Star cheer squad and has received many scholarships due to her involvement with the squad. In fact, she won a national title! She aspires “To try out to be a professional cheerleader two years into college.”
