David Murray For Homecoming King?

Sarah Khang, Journalism Student

David Murray was selected for a chance to be an homecoming royal this year. He is a junior at North and will be graduating in the class of 2020! Just last week I talked to Mr.Murry on an one on one time to ask him a few questions. I asked how he thinks he even got nominated to be a royal. He said because of his population, I then followed up with asking how he thinks he even gain this title of this popularity? He explained how he was a funny person and that he was on the boys varsity football team. I personally feel like that was so true because seeing him walk around our high school halls, he receives “hellos” and hugs from everyone. Overall Mr.Murry is a very outgoing student at our school. During David’s high school years, he has made many new friends with him being so outgoing and staying  out of “school drama.” To end the the homecoming questions I asked if he personally thinks that he will make it as king this year! He said that others say he will but he doesn’t even really know himself. I guess we’ll all have to wait until our next homecoming pep fest.

Outside of school David enjoys hitting the weight room and hanging out with fellow friends and classmates. For any single ladies out there, Mr.Murray claims to be single and a big whopping gentleman! David says he loves his father but he is most definitely a mama’s boy. As of now David is 16 and will be turning 17 just this November! A little back story about David is that he is from Chicago and just moved to Minnesota during his freshman year. He plans on graduating here at North High and maybe perhaps even stay living here in Minnesota after high school.
