David Beardsley is most famously known as being the star of the North High Stage. From having the audience in tears of laughter in Shrek the Musical from playing Lord Farquaad to playing a character who has two compliments different accents in the Spring Play. But what is David Beardsley like off stage? He sits down to tell his story.

“I really like to make people laugh,” Beardsley says. On and off stage David Beardsley is wanting to make people laugh. He says that being able to make people laugh is very rewarding. He recalls what it’s like on stage, “it would always make me very happy to see people laugh whenever I would go on stage.” When asked why comedy is so rewarding to him he responds that when he sees people laugh “it makes me feel fulfilled and happy that I could make someone’s day a little better.”

We all know very well that Beardsley has a lot to be proud of but when he’s asked what he’s most proud of he responds “I am very proud of my accomplishments in school and in theater also the wonderful people I made friends with along the way.”

Beardsley says it all started in his first play. He began theatre in Middle school he was a part of a play called Murder Most Fowl. This opportunity was the spark to his love for theatre and comedy.

Luckily David Beardsley decided to continue his theatre career into high school. He was a part of Footloose, Hillbilly Weddin, Shrek the Musical, Acting Can Be Murder and now he is playing Gomez Addams in Addams Family the Musical. He it very excited to be playing Gomez and to once again make the audience laugh.
