It was not even a year ago that the basketball team was celebrating a conference title victory over Mahtomedi. A big part of that season was the play of senior guard Goodnews Kpegeol. Goodnews decided to go to prep school in Florida called TaylorMade, where he would not lose any college eligibility and gain more interest and more offers.

Recently Goodnews posted a video on Twitter declaring that he would go to Kansas State and play basketball there. In the video there videos and pictures of him playing for school, his AAU team and his prep school. In the video he thanked past coaches for everything he has learned and thank all the players he has played with.

The school is excited for him, they are posting flyers with him in his new uniform all over the school. The school is feeling a sense of pride seeing one of their own having a lot of success.

Current players are also excited for Goodnews, Junior, Aaron Murphy, said “ It’s cool to see him succeeding…. It proves that if you work hard the sky’s the limit.”

Goodnews is one of four players to sign with Kansas State on national signing day, the others were, Dajuan Gordon from chicago, Antonio Gordon from Oklahoma, Montavious Murphy from Texas.
