If you are like me, you have a lot of stuff going on; from grades to family, we have been through it all. And to be honest, there have been times when I didn’t cope well with my depression or my suicidal thoughts and they overtook me. I was close to death when someone found a note I wrote intended for my parents, telling them why I was leaving. I should have asked for help when IĀ  started feeling those ways, and I went to the hospital and got the treatment I needed to help. I still struggle with depression, but I’m better than I was. If this sounds like you, please don’t hesitate to ask for help, even if you are scared to get in trouble. I can promise you won’t. In fact, the people in your life will be happy you asked for help. Please ask for help by calling 911, calling 1-800-273-8255 or visitingĀ  http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/

If you know someone who might be struggling, please direct them to these resources.
