North sophomore Julia Truong was recognized for her contribution to the Minnesota Law Day essay/art contest at a reception at the Ramsey County Courthouse.

Julia’s entry was a painting which highlights the importance of the First Amendment, which guarantees the right to free speech.

Also on hand to honor Julia were her family members, including brother Tony Truong, a North freshman.

Guests and honorees even got to enjoy a delicious decorated cake made by Ramsey County Commissioner Victoria Reinhardt!

Congratulations, Julia!
