The ISD 622 Award of Excellence

Lorena Freier, Staff Reporter

After much planning in close coordination with the superintendent, high school principals and district liaisons, the ISD 622 Foundation is proud to announce a new award program for graduating seniors: The 622 Education Foundation Award of Excellence.
This distinction will be awarded to graduating students who stand out in the characteristics of community, courage, imagination, achievement, integrity, and resilience. (Individual criterium for the different characteristics can be seen on the 622 Education Foundation Website: 622educationfoundation.com)
The application form can be found on the foundation website and is open from December 13th to February 22nd.
During this time, graduating students can be nominated by staff and community members, but parents or guardians cannot nominate their own child. Students, however, are able to nominate a peer that has one or more of the characteristics listed.
North Award recipients will be honored in the spring with their families and a mentor of their choice on Wednesday May 23rd, at 6:30 p.m.
“We look forward to recognizing these outstanding seniors.”
