September 23rd was a big day for all of us at North High, because it was the day our Polars fought the South St. Paul Packers in the homecoming football game. Our players had trained hard and were ready to show the South which side was better.
It started with the North choirs and band performing the National Anthem and fight song. The first quarter of the game wasn’t good for our Polars, with the Packers leading 6-0. In the second quarter, things didn’t look good either, with the Packers still leading 25-0. The third was also a miss, same score, and we knew we weren’t going to win this. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Packers won 32-0.
We know the Polar team is working hard and improving with each practice, and we hope the next game gives them a chance to shine.
