HG Development is bringing you a true experience of eating yummy and delicious pastries. Paris Baguette is opening around December in Rosedale, Minnesota.
What Is HG Development?
HG Development is a company that helps with real estate, businesses, and remodeling buildings in our community. Not only are they planning on opening Paris Baguette, but they are also currently working on remodeling a church in need. By bringing Paris Baguette to Roseville, HG Development is the leading company responsible for overseeing the planning, construction, and overall execution of the project. The people involved are a group of dedicated investors who share a vision for expanding innovative and exciting food concepts.
Originated From
Paris Baguette originated in South Korea. It is French-inspired and aims to win over American consumers. Paris Baguette in South Korea is like Starbucks in the United States, and the owner wants to bring this bakery to the U.S. and make a big impact on Americans. “The U.S. is one of the most important markets in the world,” said Larry Sidoti, who is head of the company’s U.S. development.
The company is known for its rapid growth. When the first Paris Baguette opened in 1988, it instantly became popular, and four years later, the chain had about 100 locations. When their first location in France opened, they received some backlash for the pastries not being “French enough,” since the bakery was French-inspired. The first U.S. location opened in 2005 in Los Angeles. As years go by, the company continues to expand worldwide to make a name for itself, and they hope expanding in the United States will help.
Interview
In an interview with Nano Yang, one of the investors with HG Development, she expressed excitement about the opening and the opportunity to bring Paris Baguette to Roseville, Minnesota. “Paris Baguette is a fresh and exciting brand that we’re passionate about introducing to more communities in the U.S.”
One of her goals for this project is to establish a self-sustaining and successful operation while bringing something new and special to the community. She hopes this bakery will give people a good experience, something they can enjoy and rely on. She also hopes for a successful opening as well as effective training.
Before the opening of Paris Baguette, new hires will be sent to New Jersey for two weeks to learn how to make the different pastries. When they return, they will train others. However, one challenge Nano faced was the cost of the project. “One of the main challenges has been managing the overall cost of the project while maintaining quality,” Nano said. Still, she is confident that the business will do well and become successful. “Building a reliable and committed team has taken time, but it’s been an important part of laying the foundation for long-term success.”
