Tales from in The Closet

Hello and welcome to Tales from In the Closet. This is a new story column that is filled with your stories. This is for those in the LGBTQ comunity that aren’t quite ready to come out. This is where you can come to find others struggling with being in the closet. You can write to us about you trials, tribulations and triumphs. This will be kept anonymous. You can find our emails at the bottom along with some LGBTQ animations and songs.

First story is from GoodGirl. This is kinda hard to talk about but my parents are SUPER homophobic and when I tried to come out to them they told me that I wasn’t a lesbian and that others tried to convince me I am. So l kind of went along with it. I wanted to be a good daughter but I was hurting myself and living a lie. Nom don’t get me wrong I love my family but they just didn’t understand. So they had me talk to my pastor about it. And the one thing everyone said to me was “It’s just a phase.” my identity is not a phase. My love life is not a phase. I am not a phase.  ~GoodGirl

This story is a story is from peach . I never quite understood my sextuality untill this year. I had always thought I was straight but in 6th grade I started to question who I was. I spent three years

The next one is from Garnet. I am a gay guy and I’ve already come out of the closet. But i know some people are still struggling with their identity and accepting that about themselves. I know that the one song that got me though this is “Stronger than You” and my personal favorite is song
