This year North high students are putting on the show Shrek the Musical. The show is full of diverse characters ranging from Donkey to Pinocchio to The little pigs to Shrek. The show contains a comedic dialogue that will have up out of your seat.

Everyone in the show is working really hard to put on an amazing show. You can see the show the first two weekends of November at 7 o’ clock, there are also two shows on Saturdays one at 2 o’ clock and one at 7 o’ clock.

The fall musical is an exciting time for students at North High. However some students say it is a little bittersweet. This is the seniors last musical at North High.

Cody Morisette, stage manager, who has been doing crew for four years says he is sad about leaving North and the theater “it is one of the few reasons I go to school.”

Starring in the role of Teen Fiona, as well as the Ugly Duckling, Alison Anderson says “it has been my home for the past four years,” Theater at North gives students a place to belong. However just because theater at North High will be ending for these seniors doesn’t mean these students are done acting.

Gabi Rongstad has been doing theater since 4th grade, when she starred in Annie. She will be continuing to participate in theater throughout college and in outside theaters. She loves singing and dancing and will not be stopping anytime soon.

Theater has been an important part of these seniors lives. Alison Anderson says “I would rather do theater than anything else,” Tommy Koppy who made his North High theater debut last year as Reverend Shaw stars as Shrek this year. He says “Theater is a way of expressing yourself and its a great way to gain more confidence.”

Everyone should go see Shrek the Musical because it is a great show for all ages, Cody Morisette states that it is “the best show we are going to do at North in my time, and who doesn’t love Shrek?”
