Corey Guenther, a Senior at North High, Captain of the Varsity football team, is an amazing leader towards his peers on and off the field. I asked Corey, What is it like to be captain of the football team? “Awesome responsibility to have, I like to take care of my brothers on and off the field.”

What responsibilities do you have? “Making sure they’re all doing their jobs, They can come to me with questions if they have any, make sure they have good grades and are not doing dumb stuff outside of school.” Another question i asked him was, How did you become captain and how many players are on your team? “I had a good work ethic, succeeded on the field, coaches also voted. They’re 32 players on the team.”

I asked Corey to give a closing statement about his team and he closed off with, “Were a bunch of hard working guys, unfortunately our record hasn’t said so.”
