Monday, November 13th, 2017 was the date that marked the start of the 2017-2018 basketball season for most girls teams across Minnesota. Nicole Anderson is a senior co-captain this year for the team here at North. After a tough season last year with very few wins and lots of losses, they’ve done some rebuilding with the coaching staff resulting in a change with the coaching philosophy. Following tryouts and a couple of practices, they had their first scrimmage of the year. Anderson describes it by saying, “We looked better than last year. The scrimmage wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. Our coaches seem like they know what they’re doing”. Hopefully they can fine tune some things this season and come out on the upper half in the winning column this year. They have their first game of the season, which happens to be this upcoming Tuesday, November 28th, at home! If you have a chance, come check them out! Go Polars!
