In 2017 of fall the soccer team had a great season up until sections. North highs boys-Varsity soccer team took many wins in the season! But how did they get to where they are? I interviewed three players to get their perspective.

Team work and a good coach is the key to a good season. So I’ve interviewed Anthony, Gael and Seng to get more into detail about life on the field. So first Anthony.

“Something I learned about teamwork is that, it’s impossible to win without it. It’s impossible to win the trust of your teammates if you avoid using teamwork, or just win the game in general”

“All good coaches motivate the player. They bond with the player and use the best of their players. They correct when something is wrong and also, all good coaches always have something to improve on ”

Now to Gael’s perspective about life on the field. To be more precise “A typical practice day” and “The hardest thing about soccer.”

“A typical practice day looks like a team ready to work hard and prepare for future games. Looking to get a dub.”

” The hardest thing about soccer is probably how much you and your team are willing to win.”

Seng is a sophomore who has been playing for a couple years, but 2 years at north. So his perspective about life on North’s team will include “A typical game day” and “A successful season”

“Warming up with some background music to “pump” us up. The nervous players would breath in and out to prepare themselves. Right before the game we would do a team breakdown.”

“A successful season would be a season like 2017’s year. Winning a lot of games with a lot of young players.”
