“No matter what condition I’m in or where I’m at in life, the good parts will be worth the bad parts” is Spencer York’s motto. He sees himself in the future graduating from North Dakota State University and starting his career “as an electrical engineer, creating new ways to power our new and innovative technology.” He claims, “One of my lifelong goals is to try to be friendly, positive and serving to everyone in hopes that, in some small way, I can make their day just a bit better.”

Regarding schoolwork, Spencer makes a list of everything he needs to do and organize each item by its priority. Whenever he feels stressed by the size of the said list, Spencer “thinks of that he’s (he’s) proud of and tries to be the best version of (himself).” One of these moments was when he became Homecoming King of The North Senior High Class of 2018! He recalls, “It just felt like a huge honor that my peers thought enough of me and my personality to vote (for me). I am thankful for the encouragement and support of my friends.”
